The Rafnar experience
Rafnar ehf. is an Icelandic company, originally founded in 2005 to develop and design the ÖK Hull, a unique hull-and-keel design capable of significantly reducing wave slamming and providing better seakeeping performance. Development of the ÖK Hull took 10 years and involved extensive cooperation with the Icelandic Coast Guard and Icelandic Search and Rescue Association. This collaboration with elite maritime professionals ensured that every aspect of the design was tested and refined under the most demanding real-world conditions.
